Centrestage 2023, under the creative direction of Rachel Tsang, represents a cultural pivot towards well-being, encapsulating the four dimensions of wellness: Physical, Social, Environmental, and Spiritual. This year's event, hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, marks the 8th edition of Asia's premier fashion event. It's a sophisticated platform that not only showcases fashion but also promotes a lifestyle of health and sustainability. The event's design, featuring an overhead kinetic floral display and color-themed photo booths, offers a refreshing and engaging experience for attendees.

What sets Centrestage 2023 apart is its unique blend of design and technology. The event boasts a two-story LED string curtain and an AI-generated models wall, creating a dynamic and vibrant platform for designers to showcase their collections. This integration of cutting-edge technology with creative design has attracted 7,700 international buyers, cementing the event's status as a global fashion hotspot.

The realization of Centrestage's design is a feat of technological innovation. The immersive fashion show experience is enhanced by a mega-sized LED video wall displaying AI-generated videos, which serves as a stunning backdrop for the fashion shows. The inclusion of dynamic displays, such as the oversized LED string curtain wall and interactive fashion walls, has not only captivated audiences but also generated significant social media buzz.

Spanning over 11,000 sqm, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center's layout for Centrestage is a marvel of design and functionality. The fairground is divided into zones that represent the various aspects of wellness, creating an environment that promotes fashion from all regions. The groundbreaking 2-story LED string curtain display and the 180-degree video wall provide an interactive and dynamic experience for visitors, while the audio and lighting systems elevate the immersive show experience for over 600 guests.

The event's design facilitates interaction and engagement, with the Exhibition Hall and Main Stage for Fashion Show Performance serving as the two main components. The Exhibition Hall's strategic design accommodates a mini parade and fashion presentation area, ensuring a comfortable browsing experience for attendees. The circular main stage layout with a mega LED screen enhances visibility and allows for dynamic movement, offering an intimate experience for audiences.

Centrestage 2023's successful execution is the result of a 5-month collaborative effort by the HKTDC Creative Department, culminating in a 4-day fashion extravaganza from September 6th to 9th. The event's design is underpinned by research into the four dimensions of wellness and the integration of AI technology, which has brought a new level of vibrancy and creativity to the fashion shows. Overcoming the challenges of integrating AI elements into a physical fair required a multidisciplinary approach and close collaboration between various experts and specialists.

As a beacon of innovation and creativity, Centrestage 2023 has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design for 2024. This accolade underscores the event's remarkable design expertise, innovation, and the positive impact it has on the industry, introducing feelings of amazement and wonder among its attendees.
